Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
